My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee (89K miles) was put through diagnostics testing at a local Atlanta Jeep dealership, Landmark Jeep Chrysler. The diagnostic results pointed to transmission concerns, but also included transfer case codes. The Jeep Dealership ignored all but the transmission codes and insisted the only repair remedy was a complete transmission replacement, totaling $5K. I spoke with three other Atlanta-area Jeep Dealerships and all were willing to ‘trust’ the original diagnostics report, blindly suggesting and quoting a transmission replacement. Because not enough due diligence had been applied to diagnostics, I was not convinced transmission replacement was the ‘only’ solution. That’s when my trustworthy mechanic in NC (JMedic) suggested I take my JC to the transmission pros, Mr. Transmission. FINALLY, Mr. Transmission (Lowell, Tom, Cindy) approached the vehicle repair more holistically. Lowell was thorough in his diagnosis of the problem. Rather than assume my transmission required replacement, by trial and error Lowell started with the replacement of the transfer case (which was one code on diagnostic report). In the end this was the only solution required and my vehicle runs like NEW! Lowell and his team are trustworthy and passionate about the quality of their work. Unlike Landmark Jeep and 3 other Atlanta area Jeep dealerships, Lowell was inquisitive about the issues and forthcoming (even educational) in his approach to this repair. Because of this, I had the information I needed to feel confident about the recommended repair. Most importantly, Lowell and team are trustworthy. I highly recommend Mr. Transmission. They are great people, passionate about their work!
