Mr. Lowell took the time to diagnose my transmission for free. He correctly diagnosed my car. Other mechanics would not take the time to give a free diagnosis. Discovered that my car was under warranty so had repairs completed at dealership.

Well, the transmission on my car needed to be rebuilt and this is where I ended up taking it. They did a good job and the owner seems to genuinely care about providing a good service. I'd probably recommend them if you need any transmission work done. As I'm sure you know, it's really hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust. You will get a quote here and a promise that it won't go over. My total came in @ about $100 less than the quote. Transmission rebuilding is expensive so the fact that you will receive a solid quote from this place is very important as far as I'm concerned.

Lowell, Frank, Cindy and all the folks at Mr. Transmission are great! They do a supreme job, they're super friendly and down right good people. I would definitely suggest them as the go to shop for all of your transmission work!

Amazing Customer Service!!! The level of customer service at the Sandy Springs Mr. Transmission exceeded any expectation and experience I'd ever had at another vehicle service business. I went to this particular shop due to a Google search when I saw my check engine light come on. It was after one o'clock on a Saturday and the office doors were locked. I peeked in the bay area and asked for help. The three men that were finishing up their work stopped what they were doing to assist me. Once they'd determined that I did have an issue with my transmission, I decided to leave my car there (I live an hour away) and we filled out the necessary paperwork. I was told I would probably be able to get my car back on Thursday. Robert was nice enough to assist me with finding a rental car company that was still open at that time and he drove me there. This rental place was about 10 minutes out of his way (and remember he was already off when my car limped into their parking lot). Robert was also sweet enough to wait with me while I got my car squared away, all the while keeping me entertained! Robert really helped me to not freak out about the whole situation. On Monday I received a call from Lowell explaining to me what me transmission issues were, in plain English!! I was given a price quote and again I was told my car would be ready by Thursday. True to their word I was able to pick up my car on Thursday and I paid the quoted price. And on top of that I was asked to come back in 300 miles to have them check out my car to make sure it is running properly. When I went back for the check up they pull my car in immediately (and all bays had car in them) and had me out of there in no time. This service was top notch from the beginning to the end. They kept to their time and price quotes, which is very important. And EVERYONE was so much fun to speak to and they treated me like I was their only customer, which wasn't the case. Cindy was such a pleasure to chat with. This is a great establishment and I recommend everyone visit them for their transmission needs.

I had a great experience here. Another shop recommended I go to a transmission specialist as they believed my problem was related to that. This is the first time I have EVER been to a mechanic that didn't try to sell me something I didn't need! I'm very appreciative of that. They simply did the free inspection, then told me everything was normal, that I may want to get a drain and fill done at some point, but even that wasn't urgent. Again I have NEVER been somewhere that would not have tried to scare me into getting services done immediately, and used fast talking shop lingo to describe why I should do that. He broke it down for me as to what to look for in the future, and I was on my way. Great shop I will definitely be back, though hopefully not too soon. Thanks!

Mr. Transmission is trustworthy shop that you can depend on. I would highly recommend Mr. Transmission to anyone in the area that wants to establish a relationship with a friendly and honest company. It is tough to find a shop that operates with such a high amount of integrity like Mr. Transmission in Sandy Springs, GA. By the way, the reviewer that wrote the negative review does not even have an icon next to their name. Probably another shop in the area. One of the other shops tried to fix my car and told me the parts were $400 a piece. They also told me I needed two mounts and the job would be $1,400 with labor. Mr.Trans called me and told me I did not need the second mount. I paid less than 65% of the other quote So be careful out there and do your home work. Give these guys a shot first and then if you want another quote pick another shop in the area without letting them know you saw the good guys first. see what their quote looks like and I am sure you will be back at Mr. Trans

My experience went like this: My local mechanic diagnosed the problem as a bad output speed sensor. He replaced it. Cleared the error messages out of the computer, but transmission still wouldn't shift properly. I took truck to Mr. Transmission based on his recommendation as he knows Bob and Sandy. They diagnosed the problem as the same thing. Diagnostic fee: $95.00. My work called for 1/2 hour in replacing an output speed sensor. Labor: $76.00. Cost of part: $40.99. I called local dealer to compare: Service tech quoted ball park $185 out the door over the phone. My take: Mr Transmission in Roswell is an honest company to allow to touch your vehicle. Is the dealer? I can't say for certain as the service writer in a dealership is nothing more than a salesman. I would have thought I would save money by not going to the dealer. That is not the case. Cost difference is only about $30 for this specific job, but it is a premium for them being trustworthy.

They are Awesome and Totally affordable !!! I read all the great reviews and they are true. I did not work with Robert, instead, I worked with Alan. I had a TPS (throttle position sensor) replaced for a very old Oldsmobile. He had it fixed in less time than what he stated --- furthermore, car goes into 4th gear and runs like a "dream" for the first time in a long while...Great work !!! He was very nice, knowledgeable, responsive and explained everything in language that I understood. He gave me a quote and it came out under that. There was a sensor that was also faulty but they were honest in explaining that it really didn't need to be fixed --- I LOVE it when a mechanic is honest. When a wheel bearing went faulty, I didn't know who to call and I called Allen at Mr. Transmission ... he waited after they closed at 6 PM -- until I arrived and diagnosed the problem and helped temporary fix it until I was able to address the problem the next day with the Tire/Wheel place that was responsible for the problem. Alan and Mr. Transmission will DEFINITELY getting my REPEAT BUSINESS !!! Mechanics of Atlanta, take notes from these guys on how you run an honest shop.

I don't know the experiences of the other two reviewers, but my wife and I have had nothing but a positive experience with Lowell and his staff at Mr. Transmission. We were originally referred to Lowell by Rodney at Georgia Tire Depot when we had a problem with our four-wheel drive. They could have told us we needed an expensive transmission or transfer case replacement, but instead traced it to an inexpensive switch which they replaced for just a couple hundred dollars and we haven't had any problems since. Additionally, we've gotten a free diagnosis from him on two other occasions, after which he again recommended trying inexpensive or free corrective action before moving on to more costly measures. I would highly recommend them not only for transmission items, but also to refer you other specialists.
