First off i have to explain why this is a real shop with real genuine people who know the profits are in your customers trust and word of mouth..... Tom took me in about 45 mins before they closed,(mind you guys.... Its a transmission.... Anyone with a brain knows it takes time to diagnose and thoroughly check everything) didnt charge to the check the weepage of oil i had coming out and down to my splash shield, took it a step further and talk to their Napa neighbor once they firgure it was engine oil weepage not transmission oil and sent me to get even more great service and my car riding back normal. Not only will i make this my home store, i work at publix and my store will know who to go to for any transmission problems and also preventative maintenance. Thank you guys once again. My family also knows, my friends and honestly if i had more time id post more about it online. Never had an experience like this before in my life in the automotive industry. I love you guys compassion and concern for your customers. Please dont retire on me anytime soon Tom! Lol i just got started!

I was experiencing several leaks in my classic car. Mr Transmission diagnosed the problems and repaired them quickly and at a very fair price. I would recommend them to anyone needing transmission help.

I don't leave many reviews but felt compelled to share my experience. I have a 2006 BMW 750LI. While driving one day I heard a loud pop and then the transmission warning light came on. I was able to drive the car home but once in park, it would not go back into any other gear. I had not noticed any fluid leaks in the past. Having just put $2500 into engine repairs (extended warranty paid $5000), I was hoping it was not another major repair. Instead of using the "BMW specialist" I used for my engine, this time I did a google review search and located 3 shops that had very positive reviews in the Atlanta area for transmission work. I had the car towed to the closest shop. They stated I needed a rebuilt transmission. They could order one but did not rebuild themselves. I called Mr. Tansmission which had the best reviews but were further away from me. Tom stated he would look at it at no cost and if I didn't use his services, I would only owe for the tow. I felt immediately that Tom sounded honest and straightforward. Though the 3rd shop on my list was closer, I was sold on Tom after our conversation. Long story short. Tom 1st found that I didn't need a rebuilt transmission but a new mechatronic (electric valve body). Unfortunately, my warranty didn't cover electric issues. The out of pocket cost would be about $4,300. My internet research already told me this was the likely cause of my transmission problems so I told Tom to fix it. (Note: Tom was honest with our warranty company and told them it was electronic and not mechanical which is something they don't cover. I would expect nothing else from this ethical shop). On the day of pick up about 5 days later, Tom called and said the vehicle is ready. I was ready to pay $4300. Tom stated his technician wanted to exhaust all possibilities before changing the entire mechatronic. He tested all electrical solenoids in the mechatronic (one by one) and found one had burnt out. After replacing the solenoid and putting things back together, the car drove like a dream. This extra effort cut my cost in half. Tom and his technician did not have to go the extra mile and when they did, they did not have to tell me and could have charged me the original price they quoted. Tom stated they take delight in saving people money if they are able to. I will tell everyone I know that this is the most ethical Transmission shop in Atlanta. My wife and I couldn't be happier.

I told them I had a transmission warning light and had it towed in. They told me it was just a warning light issue, so nothing wrong with the transmission!! Whew!! Very honest company!!

Mr.Transmission (Lowell) was highly recommend from another trusted mechanic. My transmission was jerking, slipping, stalling. Just not moving the car. I decided to take it to Mr.Transmission for a 2nd opinion after AAMCO told me I needed to have it rebuilt and they could do it for $2800. Lowell called me later and said there's nothing wrong with my transmission. All I probably needed was a tune-up because of the codes. I replaced the spark plugs coil pack for $280 and the car runs like new.. A honest man for sure. Cindy who answers the phone is what customer service should be like. Did I mention he didn't charge me a dime. I can't say enough .. So take your transmission question/problem to them

My cars transmission suddenly went bad and had no idea where to look. Was introduced to Mr. Transmission and boy was I surprised. Tom and his team diagnosed my problems free of charge and offered options/solutions to fix issues. My car had 250k miles on it and I thought I'd be looking to buy a new car in the near future. They offered very sound advice and a reasonable fix, 3 days later my "old SUV" was running like a new vehicle. Tom said..come back in 2 weeks so we can check all seals and a free transmission flush at the 300k mile mark. The quality/timeliness of their work was as promised and I'd recommend Tom and his team to anyone seeking quality work and a man who stands behind his word!
